On Saturday 21st December, we held our annual ‘Carols by Candlelight‘ service!

This year, we invited all the different groups who use the Water Eaton Church Centre to join us as we celebrated Christ’s birth with a mixture of traditional carols, songs and readings.

We heard performances by our Music Group and Community Voices. We were also delighted to be joined by MK Acapella, who entertained us with their renditions of ‘Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas’, ‘Jingle Bell Rock’ and ‘I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas’.

Our minister Mung gave a short reflection towards the end of the service, reminding us that we all dream of a ‘white Christmas’ – a perfect Christmas – in a broken and imperfect world. Only Jesus can satisfy our longings as we come, wearied and burdened, to rest in him.
