Alternative Worship

During the summer months we take a slightly different approach to worship, partly to give volunteers & musicians a break & partly due to fewer people attending due to holidays. Last Sunday we repeated our very popular ‘alternative worship’ service. After some verses of Scripture and singing together, we gave people the option of different activities through which they could engage in worship & reflection.

These included a prayer walk for those who were able, Origami on the theme of Genesis, colouring verses from Psalms & Proverbs, a prayer Jenga activity loosely based on the tower of babel (and a test-run for an upcoming mission activity), a room for quiet contemplation, with games & activities available for children/young people in the youth hall & garden. The photos below provide a snapshot of our time together.
