We are less than 24 hours away from the centenary weekend of the 1st Bletchley Boys’ Brigade and Girls’ Association!
Spurgeon Baptist Church, and the Water Eaton Church Centre within which we meet, form an important part of the history and current work of the 1st Bletchley Company, with many BBGA leaders & members past and present also members of our own congregation. The minister of Spurgeon’s acts as the chaplain of the Company.
Feel free to drop in any time between 10.30am and 4.30pm to visit our exhibition. The exhibition will include many items of memorabilia from the past 100 years (e.g. the Bible which was given to Ron Staniford when he was a teenager). As a special part of our history, we will also be showcasing and commemorating the work of the Girls’ Brigade, which faithfully witnessed to so many girls over the years.
We are delighted to be joined by The Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire, The Countess Howe. The service will be led by Mark, Company Captain and Mung, Company Chaplain and we will give thanks to God for the work and witness of BBGA over the past 100 years. The service will be followed by the cutting of the celebration cake.
