Centenary Band Practice

In September 2026, on 26th & 27th, the 1st Bletchley Boys’ Brigade and Girls’ Association, with which we are partnered, will celebrate its centenary!

As part of the celebrations, the instruments have been dusted off and a Centenary Band has been put together, ready to perform during our centenary weekend.

They have already had one rehearsal back in June – you can see how that went below. Many thanks to Dennis, Karen and Andy for dusting off their musical skills and having a go! For some the last time they played was 20 or 30 years ago!

We were missing buglers! If you used to play bugle in the band, please consider coming along to the next practice on Saturday 29th August, from 9am-noon. That doesn’t mean that drummers and bell lyre players are exempt! All the details can be found on the 1st Bletchley website here.

For more details on the centenary itself, please head over to our Centenary page on our website for more info. We’d also encourage you to sign up for updates at 1st Bletchley Centenary – Registration of Interest

Hiking & Cycling in 2026

While preparations for the centenary have been underway, 1st Bletchley has continued to operate as normal for our current young people. As well as meeting on a Tuesday evening during term, there have also been numerous hiking and cycling activities outside of this time, including some planned by members themselves!

You can view some of these activities below:
