Crosslinks

The Crosslinks Centre – everyone calls it simply ‘CrossLinks’ – is an independent charity (Registered Charity number 1101272) run to further its objects of providing care and support services to the community and to advance the Christian faith.

CrossLinks is based with us here in the Water Eaton Church Centre (WECC). Now over 20 years old, it was set up in January 2003 by the then Minister of our Church and the Vicar of St. Frideswide’s Church of England, the other Church whose home is the WECC. Most of the CrossLinks trustees and volunteers are today members of our Church.

Run on Christian principles, the objectives of CrossLinks are to regenerate and sustain the local community here in what is one of the most disadvantaged areas of Milton Keynes by providing person-centric support across the whole community, irrespective of age, social and economic circumstances, and ethnic background.

To achieve this, CrossLinks runs a number of clubs in the WECC for those who might otherwise feel isolated: ‘Teddy Tots‘, a Mums & Tots group; for the elderly a Monday Lunch Club and a ‘Chair Exercises‘ group; the Friday Club for younger people with special needs and a club for the Physically Disabled. In addition, CrossLinks occasionally supports agreed activities of third parties where there is a very close match between the objectives of CrossLinks and of the third party’s activity, such as the Community Larder and MK Money Lifeline.

None of these activities could take place without the army of volunteers willing to give their time to help members of their local community.

We continually give thanks for all of God’s blessings and provision we have here at CrossLinks. If you wish to know more or would like to get involved with our activities please visit our Facebook page or our website for more information.
