Crosslinks

Crosslink Centre LogoCrosslinks is a community based charity, motivated by a desire to help in the regeneration of our local area community in South Bletchley. Spurgeon Baptist Church recognised the needs of their neighbouring estate, and supported by both congregations of the Water Eaton Church Centre (Spurgeon Baptist Church and St. Frideswide Anglican Church) created a new independent Registered Charity number 1101272.

So born out of this Christian ethos the CrossLinks Centre opened in January 2003. Although it maintains its original strong Christian ethos, the Centre is open to all the community and welcomes all, regardless of age, culture or ethnic background and its aims are firmly in Community Regeneration.

We are based at the Water Eaton Church Centre on the Lakes Estate.

We currently run a number of residents’ activities. There is also a senior residents over 55 Lunch Club on Mondays where a reasonably priced quality two course meal is provided.

The centre also runs the Milton Keynes Physically Disabled Club. The main activities of the club are run at the Water Eaton Church Centre and the club meets on the first Wednesday of the month.

The Friday Club meets at the Water Eaton Church Centre. This is a weekly provision (during Term time) for young people between 13 to 25 with learning difficulties.

It is also a serving centre for the charity Foodbank twice a week on a Tuesday and Friday lunchtime between 12 and 1pm.

The centre has recently taken over the running of the Tuesday Senior Citizen Club which meets every Tuesday afternoon 2 – 4pm at the Coronation Hall.

The parent and toddler group Teddy Tots which meets each Friday morning during term time – 9.30 – 11.30am is also run by the CrossLinks Centre at the Water Eaton Church Centre.

None of these activities could take place without the army of volunteers willing to give their time to help members of their local community.

We continually give thanks for all of God’s blessings and provision we have at CrossLinks MK. If you wish to know more and or would like to get involved with our activities please visit our Facebook page for more information or email: hello@crosslinkscentre.org.uk
