As we give thanks for all that God has already enabled in our building project – the installation of the solar panels, the air‑source heat pump, and the redevelopment of the Media Room and Lounge – we now enter a new phase of external fundraising for the wider redevelopment of the Water Eaton Church Centre. We invite the whole church family to uphold this journey in prayer, trusting in the God who does immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, just as the apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians 3:20-21:
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
Below are areas to help guide your prayers:
- Thanksgiving for faithful giving — We give thanks for the faithful generosity of our fellowships, which has enabled the renovation of the media room and lounge block.
- Guidance and discernment — Pray for God’s guidance, and for our discernment and obedience as we follow His leading.
- Wisdom in planning — Ask for wisdom and clarity as plans are shaped, leaders identified, and teams formed for the work ahead.
- Christ‑like character — Pray for humility, honesty, unity, perseverance, and patience throughout the whole process.
- Clear communication — For clarity, grace, and unity in all communication with the congregation, partners, and wider community.
- Preparation of donors and partners — May God prepare donors, grant funders, and businesses He inspires to contribute, and may they sense His presence in every interaction with us.
- Fruitful relationships — That relationships formed through this project—whether with funders, neighbours, or contractors—would be marked by kindness, integrity, and witness.
- Boldness for our fellowships — Pray that our fellowships and community will be filled with courage and boldness as we participate in this journey.
- Protection over the project — For God’s protection over all contractors, staff, volunteers, and decision‑makers involved.
- Spiritual renewal — That the rebuilding work would also renew our spiritual life as a church, deepening faith and strengthening discipleship.
- Joy in the process — That even in the hard work, God would give us joy, hope, and encouragement as we see His hand at work.
- Provision of resources — Ask God to provide every resource needed to accomplish the work He has called us to do.
- Unity in the building journey — Pray that we walk this building project as one body in Christ, sustained by prayer and mindful that we labour for God’s work now and for generations to come.
