Our shared Small Groups are starting up again this Lent with St Frideswide’s, and as with last year, will be focusing on the Anglican Oxford Diocese ‘Come and See’ materials, this time based on the Beatitudes.
Why not join a group of 6-8 people to explore the Beatitudes, online or in-person? Can you bring a friend?
The Beatitudes, the incredible manifesto from Jesus recorded in the Sermon on the Mount, are our guide to living well and a great way of exploring faith… whatever stage of the journey we’re on. Take the opportunity this Lent to go deeper into what Jesus says about living out our life and faith to the full.
Sign up for a small group on the St Frideswide’s website and select a day and time that suits you!
One of these Lent Small Groups will be our regular Thursday Home Group, led by Nick Lingard @ 7.30pm. If you regularly attend Thursday Home Group, don’t forget to still sign up for this small group via the St Frideswide’s website so we can work out the numbers for each group.
You can also sign up to any of these small groups by putting your name down on the list on the main noticeboard in the church.
Online Resource: Living your best life?
In addition to our Small Groups, you can also sign up to receive daily emails during Lent from the Anglican Diocese of Oxford. More information can be found below:
“Living your best life? Everybody wants to know how to live their life in the best way possible and we all need a vision for what it means to be human.
Taking place this Lent, ‘Come and See’ is a series of daily emails and a short video to watch each Sunday. The emails include a scripture reading, a reflection and a daily moment to pause and be encouraged before the busyness of the day begins.
Whether you’re exploring faith for the first time or have been coming to church for many years, just five minutes a day using the Come and See materials promises to be life-giving, and life changing.“
Sign up to receive the emails here.
Our Small Groups are designed to take these daily ‘Come and See’ reflections further. However, to be clear, it is not a requirement to sign up to these daily emails in order to attend a small group or to understand what is going on!
Anyone and everyone is welcome to any of these small groups. We look forward to welcoming you and exploring the Beatitudes together.
