Every year, usually in September, a ‘Gift Month’ is held where we focus on a specific cause or causes which we can donate to, on top of our usual weekly offering. Last year, as we moved back to in-person worship, we held a ‘Thank Offering‘, donating to the MK Winter Night Shelter, BMS World Mission and Willen Hospice.
For Gift Month 2022, a donation will be made to the Christian Medical College (Bridge House) in Vellore, south India, in recognition of Ann Bothamley’s work there. Ann Bothamley visited us during our Morning Worship on Sunday 26th June, where she gave us a detailed insight into her fifty years of work at Bridge House, which is also supported by BMS World Mission. You can listen to this again on our Faithlife Sermons page, where her presentation was recorded as part of the service. Wind forward to 11:58 to catch Ann’s insight into how God has been working in Vellore over the last fifty years.
If you would like to donate, you can do so in three different ways:
- Via the Bridge House website.
- Via online bank transfer into the Spurgeon’s bank account, with the reference ‘Gift Month’. Account details will be available in the newsletter.
- Placing an envelope in the offering bags at church on Sunday marked ‘Gift Month 2022’.
We can pray that God will use the gifts and people working at Bridge House to share His love and care in practical ways to those in Vellore, and that the glory would go to Him.
