On Sunday we said a very fond farewell to Rev. Chris Bell, our Minister of almost 18 years, and marked the beginning of his retirement. In a service which featured kind words, one or two embarrassing stories (far fewer than he expected), prayers, songs, a commissioning and approximately 40 high-fives, we celebrated his ministry with us.

Chris went out on a high with a really challenging final sermon, talking about Jesus engaging on the margins and His call for us to do the same.

After the service we gather for a wonderful afternoon with great food, excellent company, further presentations, plenty of reminiscing & laughs all round. It was a beautiful way to celebrate his ministry with us, and recognise the tremendous support his wife, Ann, has been throughout.
