The Growing Good Toolkit

From 11th January, over six sessions, the Thursday Home Group will be using the Growing Good Toolkit. But what is it?

St Frideswide’s studied Ezekiel during Advent 2023 and asked this question, “What is God by the Holy Spirit doing among us now; and since the pandemic?” One of the things emerging from their study was this statistic – twice as many people now walk through our doors on a Tuesday as on a Sunday. Ayo from St F’s explains. “This is not only an answer to prayer, I believe this is a real opportunity for you and I to come alongside our community by being the rays of light shining beyond the walls of our building.

They are having fun, making friends, but how do we help those who want to, to become disciples of Jesus?

We are running the Growing Good toolkit this term to learn from one another about how to be prepared for that moment when we are asked the question: What is the Light that gives you hope? Could you make the connection between what happens on a Tuesday and the faith we have in Jesus who said, “I have come that you may have life and life to the full” (John10:10)?

From Thursday 11th January 2024, we are starting a series using the Growing Good toolkit to answer that question but also to equip ourselves to invite others to participate in the good news of Jesus.”

There are two ways for us to join in at Spurgeon’s:

  • Join the Thursday Home Group online, starting at 7.30pm – please contact us if you would like to join the group.
  • Join Ayo at the Water Eaton Church Centre, starting at 6:30pm. For this option you need to sign up on ChurchSuite so Ayo knows how many people will join the sessions, which will include refreshments. Please see the link in the church newsletter or contact us for the link.

Both groups start on Thursday 11th January for the six sessions.
