Friday Club, operated by Crosslinks, offers friendship and support to young people with learning difficulties. They usually meet fornightly on a Friday at WECC, but recently went on a trip to the zoo! You can read more about the day below:

“Our Friday Club had a trip out yesterday, paid for by a generous donation from St James Place. We hired a coach and visited Hamerton Zoo Park in Cambridgeshire. What with club members and carers and some of the Crosslinks volunteers, there were 32 of us all told in the zoo – see the group photo. We rather swamped the cafe at lunchtime (!), but there were lots of animals to see. The meerkats were most people’s favourites. We were thrilled to see the white tiger but, as the photo shows, the tiger wasn’t so thrilled to see us.

We understand it rained quite a bit in Milton Keynes while we were away, but the sun shined all day in Hamerton. A very pleasant, enjoyable day.“
