On Sunday 13th July, for our Morning Worship, we invited our congregation to turn up wearing blue for Bridgebuilder Trust, as we sought to raise some money to support their important work with our young people across Milton Keynes.
As a church we regularly support Bridgebuilder with their work in our local schools, and we regularly use their resources for Christmas and Easter cracked when the local schools come to us!
A big thank you to everyone who turned up and supported our ‘Wear Blue for Bridgebuilder’ Sunday! This raised an additional £130 (alongside our regular monthly gifting) to send to the charity to support the excellent work they do in our MK schools.
You can still donate on the website of the Bridgebuilder Trust here.
Carol Wheatle, Bridgebuilder Team Leader & Schools Worker, was recently nominated in the Multicultural Excellence Awards at the House of Lords and, in recognition of her outstanding work and impact, she won!
Carol says:
I am honoured and privileged to be the recipient of the ‘Community Champion’ award for my work with Bridgebuilder Trust. This award is recognition for our work and reinforces our commitment to making a positive impact in our field of helping children and young people know that they are valued and that together they can make lasting change, and have a positive impact on their world.
Well done Carol!
