Whilst we’re keen to ensure that the Church family spend time worshipping together, we also recognise the importance of age-appropriate teaching too. So during our Sunday morning services we spend the first half of our time together and then the Junior Church leave for their own activities.

The Junior Church group is staffed by enthusiastic volunteers who give up their time to ensure that the children & young people have the opportunity to explore the Bible and respond to Jesus in a way which is appropriate to their age & stage of development.

At present, we only have one Junior Church group that caters for all ages, from 3-16 years of age.

Previously, Junior Church was divided into:

  • First Steps – for ages 4-7 (reception-year 2)
  • Trekkers – for ages 7-11 (years 3-6)
  • GWINN, aka the ‘Group with no name’ – for ages 11-16* (years 7-11*)

*This upper age bracket is only a guide. GWINN members can decide when they feel ready to join the main service, which can occur earlier.

There is also a crèche in the Lounge which can be utilised throughout the service. A screen and audio set-up is provided to allow parents to follow the service from the Lounge. Alternatively, the service can also be followed via Zoom from a personal device such as a smartphone or tablet.
