Jubilee Celebration Day

On Sunday 5th June, from 10:30am – 5pm, in collaboration with our friends from St Frideswide’s, we will be holding a Jubilee Celebration Day at the Water Eaton Church Centre. In celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, this will be open for the whole community to attend!

Below you can see a schedule of the day’s events:

The event is free to attend and you are welcome to join in at any point of the day, but if you would like lunch you will need to pre-book at https://stfrideswides.org/events by Friday 27th May. Vegetarian options are available.

If you are joining us for the service of celebration and thanksgiving at 10:30am, please can you bring a fold-up chair/picnic rug if able. The service will be also be streamed via Zoom – simply contact us for the link.

In addition to the afternoon activities, there are lots of activities in the garden too: vintage games, crafts, ice creams, and a have-your-picture taken with the ‘Queen’ photo-booth.

If it rains, the service and afternoon activities will take place indoors.

Should you feel called to volunteer, or if have any questions about the day, feel free to get in touch.

It should be a great day and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone!

Note to those in the church staying for the whole day: We have been given permission to use the Mosque car park for our Jubilee celebrations. If you are part of the congregation, arriving in good time, are able and will be staying for the day, please consider parking over there and walking across. This will free up space in the WECC car park for those coming and going throughout the day. Thank you!
