Harvest Sunday: Make A Fair-trade Cake or Snack!

Whilst we are unable to meet together in the usual way for our ‘Harvest Sunday‘ service, or to bring our “Meal in a Bag” contributions to church, deacons have suggested that this year we support the Traidcraft Exchange Big Brew.

We’d like to do this by inviting you to make a fair-trade cake or savoury snack to enjoy whilst we meet together for our after service Zoom Coffee at 12 noon on the 27th September. You can then show us your baking success and tell us what Fairtrade ingredients you used. Don’t forget you can always dial in by phone to the Zoom meeting to share too! Log in details will be published in the newsletter. If you would like to take part but do not have these details, then please contact us.

For some inspiration, you may be interested in the information on the Traidcraft website, which includes some recipe ideas:

If you are able to make a financial contribution to support their cause this can be done via their website: https://action.traidcraft.org.uk/donate, or by posting a cheque to: Traidcraft Exchange, Turners Building, 7-15 Pink Lane, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE1 5DW.

Opportunities to donate to FoodBank also continue to be available at the major supermarkets!
